"I am deeply heartbroken by the passing of my beloved friend, mentor, and mother figure, Roberta Flack."
Roberta was more than an icon, she was a beacon of grace, wisdom, and musical brilliance. Her voice carried truth, her artistry touched the soul, and her generosity of spirit shaped the lives of so many, including mine. I will forever cherish the moments we shared, from the stage to the quiet reflections of friendship.
Roberta’s legacy is eternal. Her music, her love, and her unwavering commitment to excellence will continue to inspire generations. As I carry forward the lessons she so generously imparted, I will honor her by sharing her music, her spirit, and her boundless influence with the world. Rest in power, dear Roberta—you will always be with us.
With love and deepest gratitude,
Gabrielle Goodman
